Beliefs

God has a wonderful plan and purpose for your life.  God wants all men and women to be saved and that includes you!  The blessings and benefits of the Gospel are for every believer if they will take action on God's Word.  We teach people how to live by faith and how to practically apply God's Word to their every day lives.

THE BIBLE

We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and that the Bible is the authority on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine.

THE TRINITY

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world.

SALVATION

We believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.

ETHERNITY

Death is not the end for those who have faith in Christ.  We believe that for believers death is the beginning of life, life eternal.  We believe there is life after physical death, and that we will be held accountable and judged by God; and that we will exist eternally with Him through our forgiveness and salvation, or will be separated from Him because of our sin. Heaven is an eternal joining with God, while Hell is to be eternally separated from Him.

WATER BAPTISM

We believe water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a public testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

COMMUNION

We believe in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.

GROWING RELATIONSHIP

We believe every believer should be in a growing relationship with Jesus by obeying God's Word, yielding to the Holy Spirit, and by being conformed to the image of Christ.

BIBLICAL MORALITY

We believe that God’s design for the gift of sexuality is that it is to be exercised and enjoyed only within the covenant relationship of marriage between one man and one woman.  We also believe that Christians are to live by God's moral law, which is found in both the Old and New Testaments.

NON-ESSENTIAL BELIEFS

Essential beliefs are the foundational principles that supply the very life and meaning of Christianity. These truths are not to be tampered with, altered, removed, or compromised. They are the foundation our relationship with God depends on and what our spiritual lives are elevated by. These foundational essentials include and are not limited to belief in the deity of Christ, the Gospel, and the means of personal salvation.  Non-essential beliefs are important but can take different shape and are open to change within individual churches. By using the term “non-essential” we mean that even though different people and groups may interpret certain characteristics of the Kingdom of God in a different light, it does not mean that we ostracize them. We recognize, along with St. Augustine, that we must be unified in our essential beliefs, and allow for freedom with those that are non-essential.
